SOFFIT VENTILATION AND ATTIC INSULATION
Your home's soffit ventilation, ceiling vapor barrier, and attic insulation systems are vital components in the overall effectiveness of your attic eco-system. Poorly ventilated soffits, lack of vapor barrier, and improperly insulated attics can cause serious problems to your roof deck and your shingle system (new or existing). Your roof deck could expand and contract causing your shingle system to buckle and curl as well. These factors can also contribute to attic condensation and interior leakage, especially during freeze-thaw cycles. It may appear as if your roof is leaking, when in fact it is interior condensation.
